Welcome to Nguoi Tam Chuyen House - Storyteller Saigon, a charming café nestled in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City at 26 Ly Tu Trong, Ben Nghe, Quan 1. This hidden gem is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a sanctuary for those seeking a cozy atmosphere, delightful beverages, and the warmth of genuine hospitality.

The café is genuinely a labor of love – the owner’s dedication to creating an inviting experience shines through in every visit. As customer 김유빈 beautifully shared, the warmth and kindness of the owner turn a simple coffee stop into a cherished memory. “She put the music on and allowed me to enjoy a cake from another shop,” is a testament to how personal and special each visit can be. The atmosphere is vibrant yet peaceful, allowing you to unwind and savor each moment.

Perhaps what sets Nguoi Tam Chuyen House apart is its unique offering of salted coffee, which many customers, like Stephanie Henry, have declared "the best thing I have ever tasted." This distinctive beverage, available hot or cold, invites you to slow down and relish the flavors, ensuring that every sip is an unforgettable experience. The café’s rustic decor and carefully curated style elevate your visit, making it a perfect spot for both relaxation and creative inspiration.

Locating the café might feel like a treasure hunt, but the effort is undeniably worth it. As Van Le described, “Not easy to find this hidden gem but worth spending time on discovering.” While the cathedral near the café is currently under renovation, this only heightens the allure of the café as you sip your drink and enjoy the serene ambiance. The view, once unimpeded, still welcomes you with rustic charm and character. To get there, you’ll need to navigate a few flights of steps and a corridor lined with local art – be sure to reach out to the host via WhatsApp or Instagram for precise directions and to secure your table.

Join fellow patrons like Quỳnh Trang and Elisa Kim, who describe the café as a treasured escape and “home away from home.” With each visit, you feel more like part of the Nguoi Tam Chuyen family, surrounded by a community of fellow coffee lovers. Whether you’re canoodling on a weekend morning or unwinding after a busy day exploring Saigon, this café is poised to become a regular stop on your itinerary.

So, if you’re seeking an enriching coffee experience that goes beyond the cup, make your way to Nguoi Tam Chuyen House - Storyteller Saigon. Here, every visit is an opportunity to build connections, create lasting memories, and taste the essence of Saigon through delightful cups of coffee.

This cafe is amazing. The owner was very sweet and welcoming. It was my birthday and she put the music on and allowed me to have a cake from other shop. Whole vibe of the cafe is very good and the salt coffee was fantastic. The quality and experience in this cafe is one of the best memories in Saigon! It is hard to find the location but she will pick you up. Highly highly recommend this place

You won't forget this experience, chill out with an iced drink, great host, views, and Mark Knopfler (other artists are available). Accessible through via the ground floor (corridor full of paintings), 4th floor look for an open doorway, then 3 flights of steps, follow the access to the right. French colonial church through one window, and the iconic "Fall of Saigon" Huey helicopter evacuation tower through another. "This is why we travel".

Perfect hidden spot in bustling Saigon. Wonderful experience. I would never recommend it enough. Cosy atmosphere and you feel so special being there and enjoying your coffee. Loved it.

Nguoi Tam Chuyen House - Storyteller Saigon has always been my home away from home. I first visited this cozy and charming coffee shop in early 2020 before the construction outside the Cathedral began. During that time, I was able to fully appreciate the stunning view. Recently, I came back a few times and was delighted to see that the place is still as charming as ever. Being far from my hometown for a long time, I couldn't help but feel a sense of displacement and unfamiliarity, which is a feeling I tend to experience wherever I go. However, it was a pleasant surprise for me as I found this place so comfortable and welcoming. This is the ideal place for a coffee loner like me, as the tables are limited and require reservation. I can still easily trike a conversation with the hosts if I want to (lovely lovely people!). The price is slightly high, but justified by the quality and taste of the drinks. I especially love the salt coffee (the authentic one, not the fake one that is sold everywhere nowadays) and the cold apricot tea (or something like that). I am grateful for this coffee shop for being one of the few things that connect me to this city.

This hidden gem is my all-time favorite cafe. My first visit was back in 2021, and every time I return to Saigon, I always make time for a revisit. It's too bad that the cathedral is under renovation. Otherwise, you could have an incredible view of the Cathederal and the city.

Stunningly charming and beautifully calm atmosphere. The salted coffee was the best thing I have ever tasted. I drank it so slowly because I didn’t want it to end. The company and storytelling was such a delight! I am so grateful to the universe for bringing me here! Hidden gem!

Lovely cafe tucked in the corner with great service . The view is amazing and would have been perfect had it been for the notredam not under construction. The salted coffee was great both hot n cold! You need to take the stairs from the 4th floor and contact the host via WhatsApp or Instagram in case u are confused with directions . The host was super responsive. Make sure u reserve ur table as this place has few seats .

Not easy to find this hiden gem but worth spending time on discovering how to reach it. The best spot to view the Cathedral, very rustic & selective style. The owner is very sweet, friendly & welcoming. I think she is too rich not to open the door on Sat & Sun, only work from Mon to Fri during working hour, as I joked her. Then, I had to make a reservation directly with her to come on Sat morning. The price is quiet pricey in comparision with most of coffee shops but I think it is worth trying it. You won't be disappointed.
